Awesome Sweet Pancake Recipe

Not a game, but a food. You might eat them with a game I suppose...
These are basic sweet pancakes with a kick of vanilla.
There is less sugar than a lot of recipes but you don't need it if you're going to eat them with syrup.

  • 1.5 cups full-fat milk
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 0.25 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 0.25 cups of caster sugar
  • 1 tsp butter

  1. Sift flour into a large jug. Mix in sugar. Mix in bicarbonate of soda.
  2. Add milk, egg, butter and vanilla together in a second jug and whisk briefly.
  3. Combine milk+egg+vanilla mix bit by bit into the powder. Whisk with stick mixer etc. until all the liquid is whisked in and the mixture is nice and bubbly.
  4. Coat frying pan with additional butter (not in ingredients) - use butter because if you see it burning you know the pan is too hot.
  5. Use about 0.25 cups of mixture per pancake. This gives a pancake about the size preferred in the US.
  6. Cook until bubbles pop and then flip. Cakes should be light golden brown color on first side, paler on second

Eat with whipped cream and maple syrup, or whatever you like on sweet pancakes
